Diesel lubricity refers to the characteristic of diesel which prevents the diesel injection system (FIE) from wearing out.The hydrofining process can reduce the sulfur content of diesel, but also reduce the lubricity of diesel, because the hydrofining process will greatly reduce the polarity of strong lubricating ability and the content of aromatic compounds, thus greatly reducing the lubricity of low-sulfur fuel. Diesel antiwear agents act as a low-cost solution to improve ULSD lubricity, thereby preventing various serious wear problems with the diesel injection system (FIE). Diesel antiwear agents have been used worldwide in a wide range of low sulphur diesel (LSD) and ULSD diesel (ULSD) from various sources of crude oil with sulphur content ranging from 3-5 PPM to 350 PPM.
