Physical and chemical properties: at room temperature, it is a light yellow transparent oily liquid, insoluble in water, soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and gasoline, and converted into stearic acid when hydrogenated. It has the general chemical properties of organic carboxylic acid and the chemical properties of unsaturated double bonds.Exposed to air, the color darkens over time.
